our personalized coaching sessions will guide you on a transformative journey of self-expression and self-discovery.

What is it about ?

  • Personalized Coaching: Tailored one-on-one sessions to enhance your photography skills and cultivate mindfulness in your creative process.

  • Mindful Editing techniques: understanding the principles of non-destructive editing

  • Effective story sequences to gain attention of the viewer

What this coaching program is not

  • Here you will not learn to take photos like me or like Daniel Kordan or like Albert Dros, you will learn to foster your unique vision and take photographs that come entirely from you

  • Here I will not teach you to edit like me and will not hand you a preset pack, instead you will learn to apply the subtle and non-destructive editing with your own preferences

  • Here you will not receive a bucket of information and forget about, you will have homework to do and we will discuss your progress, learn to overcome mental blocks and move towards problem-solving

Why Mindful Photography ?

  • Mindful photography allows you to connect more deeply with your surroundings, capture authentic moments, and express your unique perspective

  • By integrating mindfulness practices into photography, you can cultivate a greater sense of awareness, presence, and creativity.

  • It's not just a regular photography course, it's a holistic approach to personal development. It not only improves the creative aspect of your life but will also improve how you appear in your relationships, at work, in your family

Who is this for ?

  • You often hit creative blocks and inspiration muse is not coming

  • If you've been learning on your own but feeling stuck and not getting desired results

  • You want to take interesting photos but have no opportunity to travel

  • You took some nice photos on your past trips and not sure how to edit them well

  • You've tried going to group workshops and feeling overwhelmed

  • You are feeling anxiety and stress, looking to engage in creative activity to relieve it

  • You are feeling tired from comparing your work to other people's work

  • You want to learn using the tools you have in efficient way

What is needed from you ?

  • Desire and willingness to grow and learn

  • You don't need to buy more gear for these coaching sessions, we will learn to work with what you have ( unless the equipment is damaged or malfunctional )

  • Study the settings of your camera. At the coaching sessions we will not do camera settings review and rather focus on developing creative vision

  • You need to be familiar with terms like aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how they are used to control exposure, at least at the base level

  • Respect for the environment. When it's time to go out and capture your visual story, make sure not to disturb the fauna and not to modify the flora, do not attempt to feed birds or animals to attract them. Our philosophy is staying present in the moment and observing but without reacting. When you capture people in the street make sure not to get them feeling tense or uncomfortable

How do we work ?

  • I only accept a limited amount of students per month, to be able to dedicate you all my attention and follow through your progress

  • Sessions in both English and Spanish languages are available

Meet your personal coach Julia Jakovleva

I was a person who believed it was impossible to capture impactful photographs in the nearby surroundigs, that I needed to travel to epic locations to capture something worthy. I also thought I needed to have more gear or more tools to create more of unique perspectives. Through mindfulness practices I developed clarity of mind and sharp observation of things happening around me. That allowed me to find creative approaches and get the best out of the situation with the tools I had. It made me appreciate and love my environment more. It also made me a calmer and a more balanced person. I believe in a holistic approach and that being a better person is a foundation of being a better artist. And today I want to share with you what I've learned.

I want to join the coaching waiting list!

Thanks for joining!
